Born in East Los Angeles 30 years ago, "Pint" and his family ended up settling in the city of Lynwood, California. Pint's interest in art was sparked when he was just six years old by a man who was putting up drywall in his house and who used to draw on the drywall during his lunch breaks. Pint was really inspired by this worker and he would sit down and ask his new friend to draw different things like Mr. T, Heman and things of that nature. Pint always wondered why this artist would draw on the drywall since they would have to paint over his masterpieces with a fresh coat of paint.
But that was just the beginning for Pint. His older brother Nick also influenced him, as he used to draw cars for hours on end. As Pint got older, school was not really his main concern, so he would draw most of the time until one of his teachers, Miss Mains, decided to see what he was about. She asked the young Pint if he had ever heard of Leonardo da Vinci and Pint replied, "Nah, I never heard of that cat." The teacher brought him a book of Leonardo's work and Pint was amazed by the sketches.
Pint ended up in continuation school and would get extra credit from his sculpture teacher, Mr. Richardson, for doing his own thing. In that same school, his English teacher, Mr. Harames, would give Pint credit by letting him draw and write about his drawings. At the age of 16, Pint met "Wicho," the local tattoo artist who would tattoo all of the people in the neighborhood. Pint asked if he could get a tattoo done of something that he had drawn. Wicho saw something in Pint and gave him his first homemade tattoo machine.
