The Mega Productions Body Art Expo in Pomona, California, played home to Southern California's hottest ink slingers and their clientele. With the raspy sound of tattoo guns going off every few feet, the success of the show was evident as one look outside of the venue revealed long lines and sweaty patrons anxiously waiting to get in. There were dozens of different types of tattoo styles and artists, and whether you were into full color or the more traditional black and gray, there was something for everyone.
Fans of Chicano rap were also treated to a surprise celebrity appearance by Lil' Rob, who stopped by to get inked by Jose Lopez from Lowrider Tattoo. As the crowds gathered and word spread, all eyes turned to Jose as he worked his magic on Lil' Rob.
With the amount of spectators on hand, it was a task in itself to get these photos, but we were lucky enough to work our way around the crowd and fire off a few shots. In all, the show was a blast, and with plenty of walking portfolios and the best that the industry had to offer, it was a must-see event.
