Inking in the Valley was one of the most anticipated events in Modesto, CA. The event took different elements from a variety of lifestyles and combined them under one roof. The purpose of Inking in the Valley was to cater to the tattoo, lowrider, biker, and break dancing lifestyles in a family atmosphere.
Head of the Inking in the Valley event was Luis Sanchez who assembled a team capable of putting together such and event. He placed Mario Cordova of True Skool Tattoo in charge of the tattoo section. Mario was able to have over a hundred-tattoo artists from all over California, Texas and Idaho. Some of the big name tattooist and artists on hand included Fonzy, Mi Familia, Spider, Francisco Franco and many others.
Greg, the president of Impalas car club Stockton Chapter was in charge of the car show section of the event. Greg brought in some NorCal’s highest caliber lowriders that included Victor Charles ’62 Impala that was a centerfold in Lowrider Magazine. Randy Perez brought out his ’36 Auburn that was also featured in the pages of Lowrider Magazine and Doug Vigil of Modesto brought his Lowrider of the Year condendar car called “Heavy Hitter”. Oldies car club also had a few cars on display.
Cisco of Most Envied MCs took care of the bike part of the show and had several choppers and baggers on hand. Javier took care of the break dancing and graffiti section of the show.
Some of the sponsorships came from Mitchell Harley Davidson and Empire Tattoo Supply. The group also brought in the Make-A-Wish Foundation and they were able to raise over $600 for them.
After their successful event, the Inking in the Valley crew is preparing for their 2012 event that will be bigger and better than this year. For more info on next years event check out: InkingInTheValley.com
